Client’s Request: A Custom Kitchen The large island and eating area is finished in black and rubbed through for contrast with the cherry cabinets. The cabinet closest to the windows holds an appliance garage with built-in electrical outlets. All cabinetry is custom. A wall was moved back to make the kitchen wider, and the doorway was enlarged. Above the wet bar, glassed-in doors and open shelves create the look of a china cabinet. The travertine backsplash over the range has glass accents. The custom hood above the Wolf range has niches on each side for cooking essentials.
