This bedroom project along with the bathroom was featured in several design publications. The fireplace was not a working fireplace, so we put a custom book shelf in and a reading area nearby. Oars were transformed into a bedside table in the bedroom and towel rack in the bath. Roman shades with ribbon accents and a lighthouse-themed fabric are sophisticated and charming at the same time. This boy’s bed-and-bath combo appeals to a wide age range. For young boys, it invites pirate accessories. For older boys, the same look can be transformed into a speedboat or surfer theme. The soft blue on the walls brings to mind the color of sky and ocean.
